GP3 at North Harbour...
A very crisp day with light southerly breezes and lovely sunshine made for some very enjoyable shooting.
How the shoot went from my (RobD) perspective... using up some of my older batches of pellets as I save my good ones for worlds my expectations were I'd get less than my personal best 47/50 and sure enough that's how it panned out. In the first round I missed 1 stander and 1 kneeler. Also 3 sitters 46-50m dropped more than expected and carried more by wind so must be a little slower than my good batch of pellets. With my learnings from the first round I was able to read the breeze better and put up a respectable 24/25 with standing being the spoiler.
44/50 I think is a bloody good score and well done to Carl and Ross too.
Artie did well too, he's still getting used to his new rifle.
I think Maurice and Tony were enjoying having a bit of a catch up as Tony has been away from FT for a while, welcome back Tony!
Johan is trying to figure out which mod to do first on the Gamo, certainly the trigger needs some improvement and perhaps a more powerful scope when $ allow it.
There are some photos on our NHAGC Facebook page which I have shared to the NZAFTA page too. Photos are rare at NHAGC but I made the effort this time!
