Sounds like you guys had a good day, I had every intention of heading up..... Until I woke up late after a long night Smile next weekend .....
Use of the troyer system isn't something we've seen a lot of here, interesting to see how you find it after a few shoots.

Quite keen to see and shoot your range in a different direction, especially before the gp round / ft champs you're hosting , plus it's be good to get some trigger time prior to the next round at WAGC.

A great turnout today with 12 shooters and some visitors looking to join the club. We missed some of the regulars... you know who you are :}

I personally shot really crap in the first round with 16 but redeemed myself with a 23 in the second.

We had 3 shooters giving the Sporter FT a go and this seemed to go really well.

We set out the course out facing North and not West as usual. This allowed us to get 12 lanes in and made for a great shoot.
We also used the Troyer system in laying out the course and the course averaged 26T. This system is used around the world for grading the difficulty of a course and allows shooters to gauge whether they are improving over time.

Here are the results:

PCP:
Natali 23 + 23 = 46
Hennie 23 + 22 = 45
Carl 21 + 23 = 44
Dawn 19 + 21 = 40
Rob C 16 + 23 = 39
Scott 13 + 9 = 21

SPRINGER:
Ian 14 + 15 = 29
Maurice 9 + 14 = 23
Tony 11 + 5 = 16

SPORTER:
Paul 34 + 33 = 67
Nino 32 + 32 = 64
Shannon 28 + 26 = 54

This coming Sunday is our open day, so anyone thinking of giving air gunning a go then come alone at 10.30am entrance is opposite 67 Churchouse Road in Greenhithe, drive through the gate and follow the dirt road to the end.

Cya on the Range

Rob

PS... Any mistakes with the scores send me a PM

We will be shooting Sporter and Field Target this Sunday 22nd February.

We will be setting the course up in a different way than usual and hope to make it interesting for everyone attending.
We would like to have the course setup by 9.30am with sighting in from 9.30am to 10.30am. So any help in getting the course setup prior to 9.30am would be great!

A reminder to all that Membership fees for 2015 are due soon!

Some info on Sporter Field Target and Range Fees below...

Sporter Field Target - we will be including Sporter FT in all of our FT shoots. The rules for SFT are the same as FT and will be shot on the same course, the only difference is that you will receive 1 point for a faceplate hit and 2 points for a knock down.
SFT differs from Hunter Field Target in that it can be shot on the same course as FT, adjusting the scope (focusing/ranging) is permitted and the shooting positions are the same as FT.
The purpose of SFT is to encourage shooters with low powered scopes to give FT a try without having to compete against experienced FT shooters and their fancy kit.
Should a SFT shooter do particularly well they will be encouraged to move up from SFT to full FT.

Range fees - we have decided to discount our range fees for members of other airgun clubs. So if you can provide us with a membership card you will pay a range fee of $5 as opposed to $10 as in the past.
First timers and non-members of a club will continue to pay $10. This is primarily due to the extra time spent coaching beginners and a club member having to sacrifice their shoot to supervise them.
Obviously, we are hoping that other clubs will adopt a similar approach and reciprocate with the reduced range fees for our members.
PLEASE NOTE: The reduced Range fee is only for Club days. The cost for the Club Champs, GP shoot etc. will be higher to cover medals etc.

Regards

Rob
