NHAGC Field Target this Sunday 11th November 2018

Hi All

We had a great day at the NZDA range. The Armistice Day ceremony was well done with a service rifle shoot ending at exactly 11am and followed by some readings and 2 minutes silence.

Unfortunately the turnout wasn't great with only 9 attending and only 6 shooting the FT course. We have decided that we won't delay the start of FT in future however, we will get a supply of hearing protection for members to use. If you have your own then bring it in future.

The grass was a bit long and we needed to plough through with some shots to get to the targets and this reflected in the score.

The next shoot will be this Sunday the 18th November and will be Silhouettes. If you don't feel like Silhouettes then come along anyway and we can sort something out for you if you just want to practice. We need to make the best use of our limited range days.

Hi All

Reminder the new venue is at the North Auckland Deerstalkers(www.nads.org.nz), 848 Coatsville-Riverhead Highway.

The plan for the day...

- 9.00am Arrive at the club
- 9.00am to 10.30am Setup for Field Target and Silhouettes
- 10.30am to 12.00pm Shoot Silhouettes
- 12.00pm Shoot Field Target until finished

Due to the 25m Range being close to where we will be shooting we will wait until it closes at 12pm before starting the Field Target to save the ears.

The remaining shoots for the year will be as follows...

- 18 Nov - Metallic Silhouettes
- 2 Dec - Field Target
- 9 Dec - Fun Shoot/Field Target - we will invite the Deerstalker Members over to have a go.
