NZAFTA Field Target Nationals 2023 - Day 2 - PCP 22/10/2023
The second day of the National Championship was more about reading the wind. The North Harbour venue can be quite tricky with moderate wind as the shooting area is set down in a bit of a bowl and the wind will change direction all the time. With targets set at different angles shooters were constantly changing their hold off.
Temp was moderate and not seeming as hot as the previous day, perhaps as the breeze offered some cooling. Though some may have wished they'd worn lighter weight clothing.
9 shooters this day and the course was completed perhaps in record time in approximately 2 and half hours. Was great to have everyone chip in to take the course down and then some time to relax and share each others thoughts and tales.
Once again, a retreat to the comfort of the clubroom for refreshments and prizegiving to cap off a challenging yet enjoyable weekend. Congratulations to all the winners over both days!
